What’s Included In The $397 Plan?

Everything the receptionist does is part of the $397: answering every call 24/7 — nights, weekends and overflow — emergency triage tuned for your trade, in-call booking into windows your office confirms, and live transfer to your crew. Every call is recorded (with disclosure), transcribed, and summarized to your office, so nothing happens in a black box.

The setup fee covers the build: we tune the triage for your trade, you approve sample calls on one short kickoff call, and we flip your call forwarding. Most shops are live in a few days — and you keep your existing business number.

How Do The Included Minutes Work?

The plan includes about 1,800 minutes a month — approx. 600 calls at average call times, or roughly 20 three-minute calls a day. Only talk time counts, so a 30-second wrong number barely dents the bucket. If a blockbuster month runs past the included minutes, overage is a flat $0.20 a minute — never per-call billing.

That’s the practical difference from per-call answering services, where every answered call bills the same whatever its length and busy seasons cost the most. Comparing providers?See how Inboxsmith compares to Smith.ai — numbers verified and dated.

Pricing Questions, Answered

How much does Inboxsmith cost?+

Inboxsmith is one flat, done-for-you plan: $397 a month with approx. 600 calls included, based on average call times (about 1,800 minutes). Live transfer to your crew, in-call booking and emergency triage all come with it — no per-call fees, no add-ons. A one-time $997 setup applies, waived on an annual contract and 50% off on a 6-month term.

What counts toward Inboxsmith’s included minutes?+

Talk time — the minutes the receptionist actually spends on answered calls. A 30-second wrong number barely dents the bucket; it never costs a full “call credit” the way per-call billing does, where every answered call bills the same whatever its length. About 1,800 minutes are included, roughly 600 calls at average call times.

What happens if I go over the included minutes?+

Overage on Inboxsmith’s plan is a flat $0.20 a minute — never per-call billing. We also size the included ~1,800 minutes so a typical shop won’t hit overage at all: that’s about 20 three-minute calls a day, every day of the month. A storm week gets answered without blowing up your bill.

Does Inboxsmith charge per-call fees or add-ons?+

No. Appointment booking, live transfer to your crew, emergency triage tuned for your trade, call recordings (with disclosure), transcripts and call summaries to your office are all part of the flat $397 a month. Nothing is billed à la carte, and the price doesn’t change with your season.

Does Inboxsmith require a contract?+

Your call. Month-to-month has no commitment and carries the $997 one-time setup. Choose a 6-month term and setup is 50% off; sign annual and the setup fee is waived entirely. The monthly price is $397 on every term, and you can start with the free 7-day pilot before committing to anything.

How much does Inboxsmith’s pilot cost?+

Nothing. The pilot covers your overflow and after-hours calls for up to 7 days or 300 minutes, whichever comes first, and ends with a report of every call answered and job booked. A card on file verifies you’re a real business — you’re never charged during the pilot, or for overage. One pilot per business.

Does Inboxsmith’s pricing depend on my trade or truck count?+

No — one plan, priced by call volume rather than trucks or trade. An HVAC company, a plumbing shop and a roofing crew all pay the same $397 a month with the same ~600 calls included. The only thing that changes by trade is the emergency triage, which we tune for how your phones actually ring.
