Microsoft published a guide on August 10, 2026 on its Signal blog, written by Samantha Kubota, on how someone with no coding experience can build an AI agent using Microsoft 365 Copilot. Microsoft published a guide today showing how anyone can build an AI agent without writing any code.
Chat apps answer questions. Agents also take action. In Microsoft's example an agent detects unusual login behavior at two thirteen in the morning and disables the account.
The guide says check what already exists first. Microsoft three sixty five Copilot has a store of prebuilt agents. Otherwise click New Agent and describe the job plainly.
Connect it to emails, documents or SharePoint sites. Define what it produces. Then test it in real scenarios and refine the instructions over time.
