Google is changing how Gemini Notebook limits work. They are now flexible and compute based.

Google announced flexible, compute specific usage limits for Gemini Notebook, formerly NotebookLM. All the features you use stay.

Limits now refresh every five hours instead of daily. Google says that lets you keep working throughout the day.

Your limit factors in prompt complexity, chat length, number of sources, and features used. The notebook tracks usage and suggests alternative outputs.

Reach your limit and you can defer Video Overviews or Slide Decks. They generate automatically, with notifications. Rollout starts September second for consumer accounts on web and mobile.
