Google just announced the winners of the Gemma four Good Challenge. The theme is private on device AI.

The Kaggle competition asked developers to build practical AI solutions. More than one thousand six hundred entries arrived over six weeks. The projects had to run on everyday hardware.

GEM four won first place with a robotic assistant for elderly and disabled people. Trido took second with a voice controlled whiteboard. PenguinAgent took third for offline wildlife research.

Gem Care cut speech recognition errors from about thirty three percent to nineteen percent. PathOS runs offline cancer screening for rural clinics. Gemma has passed one billion downloads.
