Meta and NABTU Partner on Skilled Trades for the AI Era
Meta published a newsroom post on August 12, 2026 announcing a new partnership with North America's Building Trades Unions, or NABTU, to support skilled trades workers. Everything below comes from Meta's own announcement.
Transcript
Meta announced a new skilled trades partnership today. The partner is NABTU, North America's Building Trades Unions.
NABTU is an alliance of fourteen unions representing over three point two million craft professionals. Its unions and contractors fund over nineteen hundred apprenticeship training facilities.
Meta says the country's AI infrastructure buildout is driving unprecedented demand for highly skilled tradespeople. Both groups want these workers to have training, credentials, and full time jobs.
This builds on Meta's Future Is For Everyone Fund, launched earlier this week. America's Workforce Academy will work with NABTU's registered apprenticeship programs. No dollar amount was disclosed.
