Microsoft opened a fourth India cloud region in Hyderabad, giving it the country's largest hyperscale cloud presence.

On August sixth, Microsoft made its India South Central region generally available in Hyderabad, Telangana, with three availability zones aligned to India's regulatory and seismic-zone requirements.

It follows Microsoft's twenty point five billion dollar commitment to India's cloud and AI future, giving the company four cloud regions: Pune, Chennai, Mumbai, and Hyderabad.

Early access customers include Adani Group, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank and PB Pay. The region uses air-cooled chillers that consume zero water for cooling.
