NVIDIA just switched on a supercomputer for the Navy's premier technical school.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang traveled to Monterey, California, to commission a new NVIDIA DGX GB300 supercomputer at the Naval Postgraduate School.
The system gives NPS students and faculty on campus AI computing for weather prediction, cybersecurity, and disaster response planning.
More than fifteen hundred students and six hundred faculty now have access to large scale AI training and simulation.
Three infrastructure partners joined the build. DDN for data storage, VAST Data for data access, and Vertiv for power and cooling.
The goal is training military leaders who can use AI to decide and act faster, while keeping the judgment machines cannot provide.
