Salesforce Ran Its Own HR Agent For A Year: 97.7% Self Service, 300,000 Chats
Salesforce published a post on its own newsroom on August 27, 2026, written by EVP Andy Valenzuela, about the first year of running Employee Agent internally. Everything below comes from that post.
Transcript
Salesforce used its own HR agent for a year, and today published what broke.
Salesforce says Employee Agent handled over three hundred thousand conversations in one year, with a ninety seven point seven percent self service rate.
Salesforce says its more than one thousand knowledge articles contained overlapping and outdated policies. The agent read them literally and answered incorrectly.
They archived hundreds of pages and rewrote policies as clear data for agents. It runs in Slack. Salesforce reports open enrollment cases fell fifty eight percent.
These numbers are Salesforce reporting on its own product, none independently verified. Salesforce says bereavement support and hiring decisions stay with humans.
